Market participants remain in search of more decisive measures to bolster flagging domestic demand. Recent preliminary and established Purchasing Managers’ Index data, nevertheless, provided a measure of respite.
Industrial and Commercial Bank of China advanced 1.35% and Kweichow Moutai increased 1.81%. Conversely, NAURA Technology declined 2.06% and Suzhou Dongshan Precision Industry decreased 2.15%.
The Shanghai Composite registered a decline of 3.61% in September, while the Shenzhen Component decreased by 8.04%. Chinese equity markets will be shuttered from October 1 to 7 for the National Day holiday.
